Officers from the Epsom safer neighbourhood team are supporting a fundraising event to provide healthcare for a young Epsom boy.
The charity event is in aid of Elijah Hodge, three, who suffers from Apert syndrome and requires 24-hour medical care.
Neighbourhood specialist officer for Epsom, PC Julie O’Riordan, will be attending the event at Whirlwind snooker hall, High Street, and will be joined by her safer neighbourhood team colleagues.
PC O’Riordan said: “The snooker-thon is an all-day event where the Epsom safer neighbourhood team is playing members from Whirlwind snooker hall, who are bound to be better than us.
“It isn’t a serious competition just a fun way to raise money for a good cause.
"We are supporting the Elijah Hodge fund because it is a worthwhile cause and it is involving our community as well.”
