A safety training film for cyclists and lorry drivers has been released in an effort to reduce serious injuries in the capital.
Transport for London (TfL) commissioned the video after nine London cyclists lost their lives because of collisions with lorries last year.
The five minute film, which can be watched online, follows recent research by TfL which shows only one in 10 of all Londoners have had cycle training, Local residents are encouraged to sign up for cycle training programmes funded by Wandsworth Council which teach adults and children how to deal with a range of traffic conditions.
Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: “I want Londoners to feel excited about our cycle revolution and to feel 100 per cent confident about getting on their bikes."
A full-length version of the cycle safety film is being sent out to haulage companies and road safety officers.
