Boyband sensation JLS have stormed to No 1 in the charts with their debut single.
The boys, including Croydon's own Jonathan "JB" Gill, went straight to the top with Beat It Again.
The lads were pipped to the X Factor crown by Alexandra Burke but that has not stopped them embarking on a highly successful pop career.
Last week, HMV in Croydon were forced to turn desperate fans away when the band came to sign copies of the single.
And several fans were hurt in a crush for tickets for a show they put on at the Fairfield Halls last year.
