By commuity Correspondant Freya Marshall Last Night of the Proms, Fairfield Halls, Croydon, Saturday 26 September 2009 The Last Night of the Proms Concert is a great opportunity to enjoy all the pomp and ceremony associated with the Proms and to support cancer patients in Croydon at the same time. Each year the Last Night of the Proms Committee chose a charity to support and we are delighted that for the third year, Macmillan Cancer Support is the charity the Committee have chosen as their beneficiary.

Tickets for The Last Night of the Proms, which is on Saturday 26 September are on sale now at The Fairfield Halls. Why not book up to enjoy the Croydon Symphony Orchestra and the Vivace Chorus with Conductor Darrell Davison, Soprano Fiona Hammacott and Violinist Joo Yeon Sir performing popular classics from London and Vienna. The programme includes Zadoc the Priest, The Lark Ascending, Die Fledermaus Light Cavalry Overture, Radetsky March & Famous Johann Strauss Waltzes and Polkas plus Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Rule Brittannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.
