Croydon Police are searching for the borough’s most wanted burglar, responsible for a string of household break-ins.
Anthony Darnley, or Phillips as he is known to some, was last known to live at the YMCA homeless shelter.
The prolific burglar is wanted in connection with two burglaries, one in West Croydon on May 7 and the other in Thornton Heath on July 9.
At both houses televisions, laptops and other household electrical items were stolen.
The 40-year-old burglar has notched up 33 convictions for burglaries and other crimes associated with them in his long career.
Detective Superintendent Simon French said: “Anthony Darnley is currently Croydon’s most wanted burglar.
“He is known to have committed a string of burglaries and we are looking for him in connection with two recent house break-ins in the borough.
“If anyone knows where Mr Darnley or Mr Phillips is please contact the Croydon burglary squad on 020 8649 1362”
