A national campaign to tackle car litter has been backed by Lambeth Council.
Cigarette butts, fast food litter, drink cartons and apple cores are just some of the items chucked by motorists on to the borough’s streets.
The council asks residents to report any incidents of littering from vehicles on the Keep Britain Tidy website.
The information will be used to establish littering trends in the borough, and could lead to a £100 fine for motorists caught throwing rubbish from their vehicles.
For more information on the campaign or to report an incident of car littering visit keepbritaintidy.org.
