Bestselling children’s author Dame Jacqueline Wilson opened the food fair at Garsons Farm last weekend.
Dame Jacqueline, who was responsible for the popular Tracy Beaker series of books, opened the event at 10am on Saturday, July 18, and stuck around afterwards to sign some books.
Specialist food producers offered free tastings in a marquee next to Garsons Farm shop at the fair, which was open on Saturday and Sunday.
Nigel Chandler, the farm shop’s manager, said: “The food fair was a great way for our customers to meet the food producers, many of whom offer an alternative to mass produced food.”
