A woman who runs her own sales consultancy has been elected the new chairman of Elmbridge Women in Business (EWiB).
Amanda Fisackerly runs Weybridge-based Fizz and has over 25 years of sales experience.
She said: “I am pleased and honoured to be taking the EWiB chair.
"EWiB offers women productive networking, personal and professional development in a collaborative supportive environment.
“I’ve met a mix of like-minded women who have actively listened, assisted and consistently inspired me. It’s a great opportunity to share the trials and tribulations of commercial life, to network and learn new things.”
Amanda has worked with the EWiB committee to devise a new schedule of events at the Ship Hotel in Weybridge, starting in September.
On Thursday, September 10, Heather Powell will give a talk entitled How to keep afloat in a recession.
All events, which start at 6.30pm, include time for informal networking over a buffet supper.
Membership costs £75 a year, and includes a listing in the Members’ Directory and links with other business organisations.
