Housing associations are holding a day of workshops designed to stop gun and knife crime in Croydon.
The Put It Down 2 event, at Fairfield Halls, is designed to raise awareness of the dangers of gun and knife crime, promote education and ask communities to unite and stand up against crime.
The free event for people aged between 11 and 19 will give them the opportunity to join in seminars, watch a screening of anti-gun film Hip Hop Opera and listen to live performances centred around gun and knife crime.
The event starts at 1pm and will finish at 5.30pm. Free refreshments will be provided.
To get tickets call L&Q Housing on 020 8875 5964, AmicusHorizon on 07970 961250 or Don’t Trigger on 07956 101387.
