A store in Sutton has raised £130 for hearing dogs by persuading residents to take free hearing tests.
Specsavers, on Sutton High Street, promises to give £5 to the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People every time visitors take up the offer, and 26 people have been tested so far.
Andrew Lim-Yon-Foon, a hearing aid audiologist at Specsavers, said he hoped more people would be tested.
He said: “It is very gratifying to be able to give some money to a fantastic cause.”
Nationwide, the offer has raised £35,000 for the charity, enough to help train 35 puppies for a year.
