The Epsom Golf Club Ladies triumphed on their home turf last week, coming first in the women's section of the Roy Castle Golf Challenge.
The charity tournament, which took place on Wednesday, July 15, has been held at Epsom Golf Club for all its seven years but members of the club itself had never before taken part.
The competition, which raises money for Cancer Research UK through the Roy Castle Fund, included other events such as a charity auction run by radio DJ Ed “Stewpot” Stewart and a raffle.
Peter Foot, chairman of the Roy Castle Fund, said the day was blessed with good weather. “We got away with it.”
