A bank robbery has taken place in Cheam.
Eye-witnesses say police have cordoned off Barclays in North Cheam after the robbery shortly after 1pm today.
An ambulance is also believed to be parked outside the bank and police officers are interviewing a security guard.
Susan Tyler, 59, of Worcester Park was in Greggs when she saw police pull up.
She said: "I was at the bakers opposite when I saw the police pull up.
"I think someone attacked the security guard, but I'm not sure. He is being interviewed by police.
"There is an ambulance here and the bank is cordoned off.
"I think whoever it was has fled."
A police spokesman confirmed a robbery had taken place at Barclays and that a "quantity of cash" had been stolen.
He said: "I am not aware of any weapon being involved at this point."
