Businesses should not take no for an answer when seeking finance, according to the president of the Croydon and District Society of Chartered Accountants.
Peter Willans reccomended businessmen get the best from their bank by promoting their business, speaking often to their bank and having sensible financial forecasts.
Mr Willans said: "If funding requests fail, businesses should be prepared to challenge the decision. If you don't think the person you are dealing with understands your business or the particular problems you have, try to talk to someone higher up."
