The Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership is looking to improve links with residents’ associations and community groups in the borough.
The partnership estimated it is in touch with about 19,000 households, a third of the borough, at present.
The ultimate aim is to establish a point of contact with all residents’ associations to ensure residents have good access to issues of interest.
Community safety manager Peter Kipps said: “We know that crime issues and antisocial behaviour, together with a well-maintained environment are high priorities for residents and local businesses.
“Improving our communications will allow us to seek their views, and we will also be able to give them early notification of issues that effect their area.”
