Wimbledon residents were among 150 competition winners and their guests to visit the Olympic stadium site.
Trevor and Julie Warner got an exclusive preview of the construction progress so far on the Olympic stadium as part of the London 2012 Open Weekend.
The 80,000 seat stadium is the heart of the Olympic park and will host the opening ceremony on July 12, 2012.
Julie Warner said: "I thought the stadium looked amazing. It’s just remarkable how huge it is and how much the site is regenerating the whole area, its fantastic.
“We’re hoping to back in 2012 and our daughter is volunteering for the Games. We’re glad the Games have come to London."
