The borough’s MPs are using their long summer recess modestly this year despite a gruelling year in Parliament.
Speaking this week to the Wandsworth Guardian, Tooting MP Sadiq Khan said he hadn’t booked anything yet, as he was still busy with dawn-til-dusk meetings.
He said: “I’ll probably spend the short holiday I have with my daughters in London, or I’ll get a bargain in the sun somewhere.”
Meanwhile, Battersea MP Martin Linton plans a budget camping trip to Croatia for two weeks, while Justine Greening, MP for Putney, is sticking with the Brits in good old-fashioned Devon.
Summer recess began on Tuesday, July 21 - although 57 of the 82 days are officially dedicated to constituency work.
