Mott MacDonald’s Wild Bores team have been announced as the winners of Croydon Commitment’s C100 challenge.
The team of six raised a whopping £7,554 for Croydon charities between June 8 and July 13.
Their main event saw 50 staff members complete a 31m abseil down the side of their building in Sydenham Road, Croydon.
One employee, Dawn Burge was sponsored an impressive £540.
The team won a meal at Malcolm John’s top Croydon restaurant Fish and Grill, along with a day’s activities at the Brit School.
The rest of the teams came up with some great ideas for fundraising and were commended for their enthusiasm throughout.
Lexis Nexis held a cake sale, an eat-as-much-as-you-can contest, a quiz night and a charity auction.
At PPF, they celebrated the Epsom Derby with a raffle and collection box.
And here at the Croydon Guardian, staff enjoyed a barbecue while members of the editorial team cleaned up their language with a swear box.
The total raised by the 14 teams was more than £16,000, which will be distributed by Croydon Commitment to local charities.
