A young man from Mitcham who was killed by a bus in Tooting has been named as Jerzy Skarbowski.
The 29-year-old, who lived in Framfield Road, died at about 2.40am on Sunday, July 19, in Upper Tooting Road.
Mr Skarbowski was originally from Poland, so it took several days to fly his family to London for identification.
No arrests have been made, but police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Mr Skarbowski was hit by a Morden-bound bus when he tried to cross near Derinton Road.
Emergency services were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit based at Hampton Traffic Garage.
