There was cause for a double celebration at a Wimbledon care home earlier this month when a much loved resident had her 105th birthday and the home itself turned 21.
Arthur House care home in Wimbledon Park had a garden party to celebrate Isabella Dawson’s birthday and the anniversary of the opening of the home.
Residents, friends and family all attended the event as well as past and present staff.
Manager of the home, Noreen Cecil-Purvis said: ‘’It is no mean feat to reaching the age of 105 and we wanted to celebrate with Isabella and allow everyone in the community to join in the fun.”
Craegmoor Healthcare put on an afternoon of activities for the guests including a buffet of world foods and live music.
Arthur House is operated by the national specialist provider of care and support services to people with learning disabilities, mental health illnesses and older people.
