The Met Police have launched a new campaign to encourage youngsters to leave knives where they belong.
“Choose a different ending” is the Met’s new Blunt 2 advert campaign aimed at 13 to 15-year-olds.
Through a series of interactive short films, the campaign asks viewers to make decisions in relation to various scenarios relating to knife crime.
It can be seen on YouTube, and through MSN Messenger, Hotmail, Facebook, MySpace, Hi5 and Bebo.
Commander Mark Simmons, head of Operation Blunt 2 said: “Knife crime is down 8 per cent compared with last year, however 10 people have lost their lives this year, and we will continue to do everything we can to combat knife crime.”
Kit Malthouse, deputy Mayor for policing, added: "The message in London is simple: If you carry a knife you will either be caught and punished or you are much more likely to be injured and possibly murdered.
“Make no mistake one of the most idiotic things you can do in London is arm yourself with a blade.”
