The body of a teenager from Norbury was found in a car which had been pulled over by police for jumping a red light.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the body of 19-year-old Carl Beatson Asiedu, from Norbury early on Saturday morning.

A post mortem revealed the teenager had been stabbed to death.

Three cars had been pulled over by police for jumping a red light in Baylis Road, Waterloo, and the dead teenager was discovered in one of the vehicles.

According to friends the popular teenager, also known as Charmz, was about to release a single.

He was a student and just finished his first year at De Montfort University in Leicester.

In his spare time he toured other university's as a rapper with friend DJ Sayps as half of the music duo Kid n Play.

Police believe he had been stabbed earlier outside a Kennington nightclub where he had earlier performed.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Goding Street area at about 5am and may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

At present anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A police spokesman said: "At this early stage it is believed the incident took place outside the Club Life nightclub in Goding Street, SE11, approximately one mile from where the cars were stopped.

"At around the same time as the first victim was discovered, a second man - also believed aged 19 years - was discovered in Goding Street."

An 18-year-old and 20-year-old are being questioned by police in south London on suspicion of murder.

Carl was no gangster or thug. Nor was he arrogant or aggressive in anyway.

Of everyone who new him, not one person can sit down and think hard about anything bad to say about this boy.

His humour and infectious smile touched soooo many lives. His passion for music and his love of recording as whilst in college spoke volumes about his vision and the great future that awaited him.

He inspired soo many in soo many different ways.

I am soo angered by the vicious way these heartless people robbed his life. What kind of human being would do such a thing? How cowardly are you to attack someone who has never been known For arguments or anything of the like. How dare you evil monsters for robbing this poor boys mother from her son! How dare you attack two best friends and separate them in such a way.

It was not this boys time. Not even close. To people that read this, you may think he is just another statistic but to us who new him, he gave hope. He was not restricted by postcode or race or breed. This boy was a People person. And he was my little friend and I just don’t understand. I am a strong believer in god, but certain tings are just too hard to fathom. Why him o god. There are other people going about carrying knives, who would have been fair play for these monsters, why him? God how could you allow for this to happen? My prayers go out to his family and friends. I only new charmz whilst we where in college and in that short time span, he left a mark, never to be forgotten in my life. And if this is how I feel, I can only imagine those that called him their brother, best friend and son, and the loss they are going through.

It brings tears to my eyes because this is not fair! He didn’t even get a chance to see his mother in his time of need.

We need to do something to stop these animals from robbing us of our great man.

Please put an end to this.
