Shoppers queue up to sign the petition
Campaigners calling for an art deco building in Crystal Palace to become a cinema collected even more signatures on their petition at the weekend.
A further 600 signatures were added to the growing number of people opposed to the building in Church Road becoming an evangelical church.
The building has a designated D2 planning use for a cinema or bingo hall which campaigners do not want to see changed.
Those adding their support for the campaign outside Sainsbury’s in Westow Street on Saturday could also get their hands on a T-shirt.
