Procter and Gamble presented a cheque to mayor of Elmbridge Councillor James Vickers last week to go towards New Life, the charity he is supporting this year.
Irwin Lee, managing director of Procter and Gamble UK, the company behind Pampers, Fairy and Olay, handed the £37,000 cheque to the charity, which provides care for children with disabilities, at the company’s base in Weybridge.
The company also gave another £37,000 to the Meath School in Ottershaw, a school for pupils aged four to 11, where severe and complex speech, language and communication needs are the primary disability.
Mr Lee said: “I am very proud that P&G is so committed to supporting local causes and I’m delighted to present this money.”
