Visitors to the Crystal Palace Triangle wishing to spend a penny instead of a pound will be relieved to hear the area’s public toilets are to reopen.
Croydon Council has agreed to refurbish the facilities behind the Phoenix community centre in Westow Street with the addition of CCTV cameras.
The toilets will be unlocked from 9am to 6pm and local safer neighbourhood team officers will be keeping an eye on the facilities.
Croydon councillor Phil Thomas said the toilets should reopen in September.
