Revellers attending the Croydon World party braved the rain on Saturday to enjoy a host of acts performing.

Headlining the day were 80s hit-makers The Proclaimers and dub reggae band Dreadzone.

The yearly event, which draws in more than 40,000 people, went off relatively peacefully with only 21 arrests over both days.

This year’s community stage was programmed by Croydon’s Clocktower’s young arts ambassadors. The stage exploded with spectacular performances from circus to stand up comedians, singer-songwriters and diverse dancers, all hailing from Croydon.

On the Sunday, Lloyd’s Park played host to the Mela Festival.
