Chipstead continued their pre-season preparations with a comfortable 4-0 win over Slough Town on Tuesday night.
The Ryman League Division One South side have had a successful pre-season, where they have remained undefeated, winning five out of six fixtures.
New manager Mark Tompkins remains cautious ahead of their final pre-season friendly at home to Carshalton Athletic this Saturday though.
He said: "I was reasonably pleased with our fitness levels and some of the things we have been working on in training are beginning to come together in game situations, but we still have a long way to go and the Carshalton game at home will be a big test against an excellent team."
Vice chairman Dave Argent revealed that the whole club is gripped with excitement and looking forward to the new season.
He beamed: "We are delighted with the way Mark’s team plays the game and there was a great atmosphere with players from both sides in the clubhouse afterwards.
"We are also pleased with the take-up of our coming season’s policy of giving free admission to U16’s and we are all looking forward to welcoming Carshalton and their supporters to our ground for our final friendly game of the season."
The Carshalton Athletic fixture is at 3pm this Saturday at High Road, before Chipstead travel to Corinthian Casuals on Saturday, August 15, to kick off their season.
