A new head of finance has been appointed for Lambeth’s troubled housing, regeneration and environment department.
Christina Thompson joins the borough from Waltham Forest Council where she worked for more than six years and managed a a project to restructure the council.
She has also previously worked for Barnet and Hackney councils.
She said: “Lambeth Council is clearly a busy and exciting place to work and with the Almo just one year old, the department is involved in some exciting new developments.”
Councillor Lib Peck, cabinet member for regeneration and housing, said the management team would be strengthened by Christina’s appointment.
She added: “I am sure the housing, regeneration and environment department will benefit from this latest addition to the team and I look forward to working closely with her.”
