Neil Warnock showed his Crystal Palace players videos of their only league win this season in a crisis meeting at the club's training ground yesterday.
The Eagles manager took the unusual step of calling his players in on a Sunday after the 4-0 hammering by Scunthorpe United at home and was hoping footage of their 3-1 win at Ipswich Town would spark a return to form.
"We were in yesterday and we just had a chat and didn't train," he said.
"We had a look at one or two videos, especially a few bits from Ipswich.
"It was mostly me talking but the players didn't need to be told how bad it was and a few of the lads did put their hands up and apologise.
"I think this morning at training they were a bit subdued to start with but they got into it and were doing quite well by the end of the session.
"I just have to try and eliminate why it happened.
"It's the best thing that could happen to us playing tomorrow night."
