Police have reported another gun incident in Battersea - the fourth in a week.
Officers were called at around 12.30pm on Sunday, September 13, after a man tried to shoot a gun in Northcote Road, near the junction with Belleville Road.
He was riding on the back of a motorbike, which pulled up next to a group of people.
He tried to shoot at them, but failed and fled.
DCI Steve Ainscough said: "This could have been a very serious incident. Those being aimed at were very lucky."
The news comes after three other gun incidents in the past week.
On Thursday a woman found pellet marks from a shotgun in her door in Westbridge Road, Battersea.
Police interviewed neighbours but nobody saw anything and no-one with injuries has come forward.
The previous day, two men were injured after shots were fired in Lavender Hill and Wye Street, less than two hours apart.
Five youths were arrested and bailed in connection with those two incidents.
