Pupils from a Sutton school will be the first guests at a newly-improved outdoor education centre in East Sussex.
Children from Avenue Primary School are set to make the educational trip this week and stay at the Hindleap Warren Outdoor Centre’s new accommodation block, which cost £1.6m.
David Nottidge, London Youth’s Director of Residential Centres, said: “The completion of this fabulous new accommodation block signals a new era for Hindleap Warren.
“Complementing the existing accommodation, this bright and modern building will allow many more children to enjoy the challenging and exciting activities that are on offer.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without significant funding and I would like to personally thank all those who have donated so generously to this project.”
The centre, owned by London Youth, provides children with supervised outdoor activities and hosts the Activenture project, for young people with disabilities and special needs.
