Norman Critlow, non-executive director of the trust in charge of St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, has been re-appointed to the board for a further four years.
He is currently chairman of the trust’s finance committee and also a member of the audit, remuneration and integrated governance assurance committees.
He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed for a further four year term, during which time I hope to witness the trust achieve self determination as a foundation trust.
“For me, this is the final stage of a journey which has seen significant improvements. It is a testament to all those involved in managing the change, that patient safety and operating and financial performance are all now much improved.”
Working towards its aim to achieve foundation status next year, the trust recently held a 12-week period of public consultation and nearly 4,000 people have signed up to become members.
