It will be custard pies at dawn this Sunday, September 20, as Chessington World of Adventures celebrates the closure of Beanoland with a giant custard pie fight.
Beanoland includes Dennis the Menace’s madhouse and Roger the Dodger’s Dodgems, but has had its day after 10 years at the Leatherhead Road park.
In an event that would make the mischievous Beano characters proud, park guests will be able to buy a custard pies for £1, with proceeds going to charity.
There will be limited places, available on a first come first served basis on the day.
General manager David Smith said: “We felt it only fitting to celebrate in style with our guests as we say goodbye to Beanoland. We expect the custard pie fight to break all previously held records and to go down in history as the custard pie fight to end all custard pie fights.
“Once we have cleared up all of the mess, we will be closing Beanoland for the last time to make way for Chessington’s exciting 2010 plans which will be announced in due course.”
