A curry fan celebrated a decade of selling her delicious sauces at farmers’ market on Saturday.
Anila Vaghela now has 28 stalls across Surrey, Berkshire and Hertfordshire and dedicates much of her success to farmers’ markets.
The Walton resident said: “We joined the very first farmers’ market in Surrey 10 years ago, and joined many more as they were set up.
“When we started, we just sold curry sauces but our range has been shaped by our farmers’ market customers, who’d ask us to make accompaniments and new flavours. It’s down to them that I started making pickles and chutneys.”
Anila’s range now features eight varieties of curry sauces and 16 varieties of pickles, chutneys and dips and all of the sauces are based on traditional Indian recipes.
Her products were recently launched in John Lewis, Oxford Street, and are also sold in high-end shops such as Harrods and Selfridges.
