A Crystal Palace nightclub has been ordered to close due to noise complaints and police concerns about violence.
Dyjarn's nightclub in Crystal Palace Parade had its licence revoked by Lambeth Council's licensing sub committee on Tuesday evening (September 15).
Police raised concerns about crime, disorder and public nuisance orders linked to the club – which is close to residents' homes in F aquhar Road and Jasper Road.
A man was shot outside the venue with a BB gun on August 29, while the venue was also linked to a violent assault in the same month.
The council's noise and pollution officer also demanded a review of the club's licence after 27 noise complaints relating to the late night venue were made to the council in the past two years.
The planning committee decided the club – which was able to stay open until 4.30 am on weekends and 2am during the week - had been in breach of its licence and should close.
The club will now have three weeks - in which it can still stay open- to lodge an appeal.
