Police joined in the sack race on the day
Mitcham residents battled the weather to make sure the fourth annual Figges Marsh fun day was a success.
Two marquees were destroyed in the wind on Sunday but hundreds still turned out on the green space to enjoy activities from sack racing to face painting.
The Mayor of Merton joined local police and firefighters to take part and support the event organised by the North Mitcham Parks Friends Group.
