An air ambulance was rushed to Mitcham yesterday afternoon after a builder fell from scaffolding.
The man in his 60s was taken to St George’s Hospital suffering from serious pelvic injuries.
Both air and ground ambulance crews were called to the scene in Willow Lane at 3.30pm.
Doctors from the air crew treated the injured man at site of the accident before he was taken to St George’s specialist trauma centre by road.
Crowds of school children watched as the air ambulance touched down on the common next to Mitcham Junction station.
