A sheltered housing scheme in Battersea has been reopened following a £1.9 million redevelopment.
The new-look Haven Lodge now boasts 24 modern self-contained flats made up of 20 one-bedroom apartments, two studio flats and larger two-bedroom apartments.
It also includes two guest rooms, a new lift, communal kitchen and lounge - with an induction loop for the hard of hearing - and a hairdressing salon.
There is also a warden’s office, laundry room, consultation room, quiet room and easy access shower rooms.
Every flat is now occupied and several new tenants have moved from larger properties. The tenant’s previous homes will be let to local families in need of more space.
The refurbishment project was completed as part of Wandsworth Council’s sheltered strategy redevelopment programme and similar projects are currently underway at Ivor Mayor Lodge and Nursery Close.
