A store has been banned from selling alcohol after booze was sold to underage youths.
The 28-day notice was served on Costcutters in Cheam after complaints about antisocial behaviour.
Safer neighbourhood team officers also found the store selling alcohol to two underage customers in July.
Sutton Council’s licensing committee ruled on Monday staff on the premises must be trained to deal with underage customers or adults buying alcohol for underage customers.
Staff responsible for selling alcohol at the store must also be English-speaking and have a personal licence approved by the police.
The committee also objected to an opening hours extension to McDonald’s in Sutton High Street.
The company applied to extend opening hours until 5am – making it a 24-hour licence.
But Sutton police were against the extension on the grounds of crime and disorder, public nuisance, protection of children and public safety.
