Bobbies and books can be found in the same place thanks to a new scheme at Wimbledon Library.
Earlier this month PCSOs visited the Wimbledon Hill Road library for an informal advice and reassurance session.
Officers are set to hold the coffee morning style events twice a month, with the next session due to take place today (Thursday). Monthly visits to the library by victim support workers are also expected to start later this year.
Library manager Sylvana Marchant Pardoni said: “I believe it is a wonderful opportunity for our library to offer our local community something worthwhile, and will allow people from a broad and diverse spectrum to interact with the officers, victim support and our library staff to gain information, support and help.”
