Following the positive acclaim of his first film, Jack Says, there is no stopping Kingston writer Paul Tanter.
Jack Says was released with an accompanying graphic novel, Jack Said, which has now been produced as a film.
It features big names including Danny Dyer, Simon Phillips and Jimmy White, and is set to run for a week at the Apollo West End on September 25.
Mr Tanter works in Kingston and some scenes from the film have been shot in Wandsworth.
He said: “It is easy to be slightly in awe at working with big names, but you quickly get past the starstruck stage and focus on the work. Danny Dyer is very much as you would expect him to be - a very laid back, cheeky chappy.”
This will be the second film in the trilogy, with the third part, Jack Falls, released alongside as a graphic novel.
The film, a contemporary British film noir, deals with gritty issues such as love and betrayal, the criminal world and ultimately sacrificing one’s own happiness.
Mr Tanter said: “Everything about Jack Said is on a bigger scale. It’s a bigger ambition, with more action and even bigger explosions.'”
The film will also receive a big Blu Ray DVD release on October 5, with a limited re-release of Jack Says.
Mr Tanter is currently writing the film script for Jack Falls before trying his hand at comedy. Plans for the “10 year itch” are under way which is a light hearted look at turning 30.
