A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the face in Tooting’s Lambeth Cemetary last week in broad daylight.
The victim was in the graveyard with a friend between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday, September 15, when he was approached by two youths.
One stabbed him in the face and shoulder and stamped on his head before fleeing.
The victim ran into a lodge in the Blackshaw Road graveyard with head injuries but is believed to be recovering now.
The suspect, a white 19-year-old man wearing a dark tracksuit and a light blue hat, was later seen boarding a number 200 bus with two other youths.
He was stopped by police and arrested on Christchurch Road.
