A flock of adventurous explorers brought traffic to a halt when they hit the road last week.
The string of Canada geese were snapped making their way across Commonside East towards Mitcham Pond on Friday.
But nature expert Tony Drakeford warned the birds could be more of a nuisance than their cute appearance suggested.
He said: “They were introduced to Britain in the 1920s as an ornamental species, and have now spread. They are rather invasive - they eat a lot of the grass around ponds, and they are noisy and messy.”
