An elderly man suffered burns in a blaze at his home last night.
The man, who was in his 90s, was taken to St Helier Hospital after the fire at Runnymede Court, in Beddington Gardens.
Fire crews from Wallington and Croydon were called to the fire at the sheltered housing scheme at 8.18pm.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the fire is under investigation.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 8.40am to reports of a fire at Runnymede Court.
"We sent one ambulance crew to the scene and our staff treated one patient; a man in his 90s who was taken to St Helier Hospital with burns."
