Hairdressers have raised over £800 in just 10 days for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.
The money raised will go to the hospital’s new baby and teenage unit being built at the Sutton Royal Marsden Hospital.
Best of Both Worlds Hair and Beauty Salon in Banstead ran a competition for young stylists at the salon called Hair Idol from an idea by creative stylist Leanne Gallyer.
The task was to get volunteers looking like catwalk models.
Becca Paoloni won over the L’Oreal judges with her Jungle Theme image.
The women were joined by a professional make-up artist from Unmask the Beauty.
Leanne Gallyer said: “The day was a massive success and L’Oreal judges were overwhelmed with the styles and techiniques the girls came up with.”
They sold raffle tickets and the winners won luxury pampering sessions at the salon.
