Shoppers were snapped with AVG Data Snatchers recently, as would-be detectives hunted him down for the chance to win £1,000 worth of gadgets.

The campaign was to highlight the dangers of a growing phenomena where organised criminals post bogus pages behind links on genuine websites, which are virtually impossible to spot, and then wait for your personal information to come to them.

AVG set loose a number of actors dressed as Data Snatchers and offered prizes to those who spotted them and got photographic or video evidence.

The Data Snatchers will now tour the rest of the UK to educate people on how to beat the criminals.
