Kingston store staff got into swashbuckling spirit for International Talk Like a Pirate Day on Saturday, September 19.
Crews at Richmond and Kingston West Cornwall Pasty Co shops were dressed up for occasion, and the company compiled a pirate A-Z quick guide to help novice pirates with the traditional sea lingo.
The chain is proud of its Cornish heritage, using a pirate themed logo, and furnishing their shops with memorabilia and murals from traditional Cornish life.
Their pasties are handmade in Cornwall, where pirates were notorious for smuggling treasure in the 18th Century.
To celebrate the quirky day shoppers were reminded to swap the word “you” with “ye”, and finish all sentences with a gruff voice “arr”.
