The Epsom and Ewell Silver Band will take centre stage in the town on Sunday as part of a national Bandstand Marathon.
The fun starts in the Market Place at 1.30pm, when CBeebies presenters Andy Day and Mike James will get the crowd going.
At 1.45pm the cast of Tommy will perform extracts from the musical before the start of the marathon at 2pm.
Epsom will be just one of many villages, towns and cities across the country taking part in the free musical event. A pilot in southwest England last year included 50 concerts, bringing big band music to local communities in the traditional setting of the bandstand.
This year over 120 venues across the UK will showcase the talents of local musicians, with around 3,000 expected to perform simultaneously.
The Bandstand Marathon forms the most widespread event in the Cultural Olympiad, the four-year celebration of the UK’s culture and traditions leading up to the Olympic Games in 2012.
