Elderly residents can dust off their dance shoes and show their moves at a string of tea dances being held in the borough as part of a month-long festival for older people.
The Celebrating Age festival taking place throughout October offers a wide range of dancing events, as well as trips, exhibitions, films, concerts, and dancing events, to give the borough's older residents more things to do, and the chance to socialise.
Highlights of the festival, now in its eleventh year, include performances from a big band, a boat trip along the Thames, and a screening of Oscar winning film, Slumdog Millionaire.
Venues include Nettlefold Hall in West Norwood and the Assembly Rooms next to Lambeth town hall.
Alongside the entertainment there will be sessions offering practical advice and information on carers, older people’s health and wellbeing, new technology and other issues.
The event also marks the 30th anniversary of Lambeth Pensioners Action Group (LAMPAG).
Full details of the festival can be picked up at libraries, at Age Concern's centre in Brixton Road, Lambeth town hall or at ageconcernlambeth.org.uk.
