An 11-year-old schoolgirl was rushed to hospital after she was hit by a car.
The accident happened at about 3.15pm yesterday in Lacey Drive with the junction of Coulsdon Road.
The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and single responder.
The girl was taken to Mayday Hospital with leg injuries.
A Croydon police spokeswoman said officers were called to the crash about 3.20pm.
"A young girl was hit by Renault and sustained a broken leg," she said.
"The girl was taken to a south London hospital by LAS and her injuries are not thought to be life threatening or changing."
The Lacey Road-Coulsdon Road junction was closed but reopened as soon as the ambulance left the scene.
