Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman escaped an attacker by kicking him in the groin.
The 22-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a man who was making “sexual comments” as she walked along Skerne Walk, at the junction with Kings Road, after a night at McCluskys nightclub.
Police do not believe she was followed by somebody inside the club, which is located by Kingston’s riverside.
Detective Constable Kevin Goodman said: “She was on her own and shouted, which local residents heard. She’s OK now, she’s quite a feisty little thing.
“She managed to run away and get her mobile out to call police.”
The incident occurred at about 3am on Saturday, September 26, outside the 'Elizabeth' block of flats.
The attacker was a man, aged 20 to 24, of Arabic appearance and about 5ft 6in.
